- Identify opportunities to improve productivity and assist with implementation of changes

- Directs efforts of staff, ensuring all work is coordinated, downtime is minimized, and product meets established quality standards.
- Works to develop procedures and techniques to reduce process variation and manufacturing delays, while increasing productivity
- Justifies headcount requests, participates in hiring process and creates expectations of an employee
- Manages performance and works with HR in situations requiring disciplinary process
- Communicate effectively with leads and other team members to staff accordingly
- Communicate with other departments to assure proper materials and equipment are provided for the team members
- Review and approve weekly payroll within policy and meets deadlines
- Maintains inventory records and supplies to meet delivery schedules
- Provide training and coaching to help team members advance skills
- Coordinates production schedule with support departments and resolves production problems related to methods, tools, materials, and manpower.
- Communicate expectations and challenges to team members
· Experience in leadership role required
· Strong communication skills with all levels of the organization
· Knowledge of processes and equipment
· Ability to plan and implement changes
· Math skills including good understanding of fractions and angles
· Ability to read blueprint drawings and cut lists
· Computer skills including ability to use and create word documents and spread sheets
