Currently we are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Industrial Paint Supervisor to oversee and managing the paint, touch-up, and wash bay processes within our facility. This role involves supervising a team of painters and wash bay attendants, ensuring quality control, optimizing processes, and maintaining safety and equipment standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in industrial painting, strong leadership skills, and a keen eye for detail.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of the painting team.
- Provide training and development opportunities for team members.
- Conduct performance evaluations and address any personnel issues.
- Inspect finished work to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
- Monitor paint application processes to ensure uniformity and adherence to guidelines.
- Troubleshoot and resolve quality issues as they arise.
- Evaluate and improve painting processes to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
- Implement best practices and new technologies in painting techniques.
- Ensure adherence to safety regulations and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Enforce safety protocols within the painting area.
- Assure compliance of hazardous materials both in storage and waste disposal. Commits to continuous training, auditing, and regular schedule of removal.
- Coordinate with maintenance teams for any major repairs or upgrades.
- Manage the inventory of paints, coatings, and related materials.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of materials to prevent spoilage or damage.
- Collaborate with production and quality assurance departments to align painting schedules with production timelines.
- Monitor project progress and ensure timely completion of painting tasks.
- Maintain accurate records of paint formulations, application procedures, and equipment maintenance.
- Prepare reports on painting operations and performance metrics.
- Implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence of issues.
- Ensure all work performed meets company standards and complies with safety requirements.
- Five years of related experience with at least 1 year of supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong communication skills with all levels of the organization.
- Ability to plan and implement change effectively.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to multi-task and work with a high sense of urgency with minimal supervision.
- Computer skills and including the ability to use Microsoft Office programs, Payroll, and Enterprise Resource Planning Software.
- Ability to maintain regular attendance in accordance with company attendance policies.
